The Emergency Management Agency Volunteer Group aims to serve our community by providing support during emergencies, fostering preparedness, and promoting resilience. We work alongside local agencies and community partners to create a safer and more informed community
Founded in 1999, EMAVG started as a small group of dedicated individuals passionate about emergency management. Over the years, we’ve grown into a network of volunteers trained to support local Emergency Operations Centers, provide disaster relief, and educate the public.
Brad Boyst, President
Brad Boyst brings decades of dedication to emergency response and volunteer coordination. As President, he provides strategic leadership for EMAVG and oversees, agency partnerships, and major group initiatives. Brad is passionate about rebuilding the group and ensuring every volunteer is equipped and empowered to serve.
Donnie Cumbie, Vice President
Donnie Cumbie serves as the Vice President of EMAVG. Known for his practical leadership and community-first mindset, Donnie supports recruitment, volunteer engagement, and field operations. He also advises on internal policies and future expansion.
Henry Freeman, Clerk
Henry Freeman is a military veteran and public safety professional with academic training in homeland security, criminal justice, and computer science. Henry oversees EMAVG’s communications, digital systems, and records. His education and experience drive his focus on transparency, modern tools, and growth.
Chris Henry, Treasurer
Chris Henry is a detail-oriented financial leader with a strong commitment to nonprofit compliance. As Treasurer and CFO, he manages budgeting, reporting, and financial integrity for EMAVG. His oversight ensures responsible use of donations and resources across all chapters.
